University of Dubuque

Who they are

The University of Dubuque is a private university in Dubuque, Iowa, with a full collegiate aviation department. It offers bachelor’s degrees in flight operations, with airplane and helicopter tracks, aviation management and applied aviation technology, and a two-year helicopter pilot associate degree begins in fall 2026.

More than 400 aviation students train on a fleet of about 40 aircraft, from Cessna 172s and Diamond DA-42 twins to Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopters, and the university’s aviation learning center is expanding to make room for more.

Our partnership

The University of Dubuque is Beyond and Above's preferred educational institution for aviation. For graduates who want to keep building their aviation education after corporate flight attendant training, it offers a direct path into a full university aviation program.
