Banyan Air Service
A 100 acre FBO campus at Fort Lauderdale Executive, and the host of our FBO tours.
Visit banyanair.com →Who they are
Banyan Air Service has been at Fort Lauderdale Executive since 1979, when founder and president Don Campion opened it as a small shop working on piston engine aircraft. The FBO itself came about six years later, built on hangar and fueling rights offered by Sheltair’s Jerry Holland.
Today Banyan occupies roughly 100 acres of the FXE field with more than a million square feet of hangar space. Alongside the FBO it runs a Part 145 repair station on two shifts, an avionics shop, one of the largest pilot shops in the world, and a cafe on the ramp. It was the first FBO at FXE to earn IS-BAH Stage I accreditation.
Our partnership
Banyan hosts our FBO tours here at Fort Lauderdale Executive, and their team joins us from time to time as guest speakers.
Walking a working FBO, rather than reading about one, is how our students first see where a trip actually begins and ends: where the crew checks in, where catering is handed over, and what the people on the ramp need from a flight attendant who knows what she is doing.
What this means for you
Graduates are welcome to visit the FBO any time after they finish the course.
